Reborn #2 Review
MILLAR and CAPULLO’s epic sci-fi fantasy story continues. After her death, Bonnie is reborn in Adystria and has a sword thrust into her hand. As the evils within the Dark Lands get stronger, she is Adystria’s only hope: their savior.
When you think that this book couldn’t get any better, it just hits you upside the face with a whole bunch of awesome. This is definitely my top pick of the week.
We get to see more of the world that these characters are living in—and it’s a fantastic looking one at that. Millar reveals some more details to this story while not giving too much away. I really enjoy how different characters come back at different points in time in their life and how they’re all intertwined together with the main character.
I’m not even sure I can put it in words how well Greg Capullo’s art looks in this book. I forgot how cool the designs are that he comes up with when he’s working on something creator owned. I’m not trying to say his run on Batman wasn’t as awesome, but when it comes to this title, you can tell he gets to stretch his wings a little bit more.
I’m almost regretting not waiting for the whole series to be done to read this title because the wait for the next issue is killing me here. I could go on and on about how much fun this series has been, but these are supposed to be fast and easy reviews, so I’ll just leave you with this.
I’m giving the second issue of Reborn:
5 Out of 5 Whiskey Shots.
