Hey folks. I know we haven’t really published fitness related things on this site in the past, but physical fitness has a lot to do with mental health and we should cover the topic more. Often a healthy mind coincides with a healthy body. Anyway, I spent years writing fitness articles and pieces for various publications, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to share some of my older work on here.
I wrote this piece a few years ago to show how working out means so much more than simply trying to look good naked. Because for me, exercise has always been a way to combat depression, feelings of loneliness, and keep my stress levels in check. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be the calm and level-headed person I am today if it weren’t for fitness. I hope this piece motivates some of you to start focusing on your physical health as more than just appearance.
