So, I’ve been planning on reading Jerusalem, which is a crazy 1,300 or so page novel by the wild wizard Alan Moore. While this particular novel isn’t included in the topic of this post, it got me thinking about how awesome it would be to have an interactive book club with the DPW readers and anyone else who would want to join.
I’m thinking we could all read a crazy or experimental novel, (or maybe hold an open poll to decide which novel to read) then talk about it once a week online. Of course, doing it in person with plenty off booze would be preferred, and it’s definitely what we would be doing on our end, but you folks could drink and have fun as well in a group chat.
If the group was small we could hold the book club on Skype or Google Hangouts and live video chat. If the group was larger we could host it on Twitch or YouTube live. I haven’t worked out the details yet, and we won’t be moving forward with this idea until the podcast takes off, but I think it would be a lot of fun and a great way to build a community.
If you folks think this is a good idea or have any suggestions, please feel free to comment below, email us, or hit us up on Twitter or Facebook.
Cheers,
