Shirtless Bear Fighter Review
“If you like to dip your toes into the strange and weird, you need to give this book a read.”
“After being betrayed by the bears that raised him, the legendary SHIRTLESS BEAR-FIGHTER wanders the forest he’s sworn to protect, fist-fighting bears, eating flapjacks and being the angriest man the world has ever known!
When wild-eyed, super-strong bears attack the citizens of Major City, Shirtless ventures into the human world to do what he does best…PUNCH THOSE BEARS IN THE FACE! But all is not as it seems. Someone is manipulating Shirtless…and only by confronting the demons of his past can Shirtless hope to save his future!
A heart-filled, hilarious, tall tale for the ages…you don’t want to miss SHIRTLESS BEAR-FIGHTER!
One of the craziest, over-the-top-comic series I’ve read in a while—and that’s really saying something; I’ve read some far-out stuff. If you like to dip your toes into the strange and weird, you need to give this book a read.
I’m not sure where to begin with the writing. It’s so bizarre but awesome at the same time. I’ve never read something like this before in a comic. There’s not only bear punches, there’s magical bacon as well. There’s also a badass, big bearded wearing son-of-a-gun who eats (not pancakes) flapjacks as your main character. What’s not to love!?
Without the right art for this book, it could really fall flat. But don’t worry, Mr. Vendrell delivers on all fronts SBF. Without him, you wouldn’t be able to fully comprehend all of the weirdness going on. The best way I can kind of describe it is adult-cartoony. And I know not all of them were his, but there are some great covers for this series which you get to see as bonus material in the paperback.
I know I haven’t done a proper job of explaining the story to you, but I kind of feel like even telling you a little bit will just ruin some of the fun and enjoyment you’ll get out of this book. There really needs to be a sequel to this book, pronto! So happy that it got picked for book club. It’s awesome in all the weirdest ways.
I’m giving Shirtless Bear Fighter. . .
