As many of you know, we’ve been talking about putting out a podcast for a long time. And we even went as far as recording a handful of episodes, which we wanted to share with all of you asap. Unfortunately, we were having issues finding the right podhost. Since we are non-profit, finding a reasonably priced host has been a challenge.

Rather than waiting around until we get our financial situation squared away, we figured we’d publish our episodes on YouTube until we find a good host.

This first episode of the podcast is about why we write and why we think you should write, too. Associate Editor Spencer Church and I go over a lot of different topics here, and since the episode was first recorded in November of 2017, we hit on a few topics that were popular at the time.

While this first episode might be a bit rough, we did find our footing as the episodes progress. Also, make sure you stick around after the outro for a reading of one of our original pieces on the site, Why We Write. Check out the video below or go to the official DPW YouTube channel where we will be publishing all future episodes.
