Drunken Dreams
By Caleb James K.
Twist off the cap
then twist it back
and then off again
until it snaps;
and then you smell
the stinging vapors
and from the well
the memories rush back.
They were hidden so deep
but when you sleep
in those drunken dreams
they always come back.
In those drunken dreams
they always come back
always come back
in those drunken dreams
until you take the cap
and twist it back.
